Natural Gas Uses

Natural Gas has many uses. Around the home are natural gas heating and cooking. Commercial natural gas uses are similar to residential uses. The commercial sector includes public and private enterprises, like offices, schools, churches, hotels, restaurants, and government buildings.

There are many industrial uses, including providing the base ingredients for such varied products as plastic, fertilizer, anti-freeze, and fabrics. Natural gas has long been considered an alternative fuel for the transportation sector. The first internal combustion engine vehicle to run on natural gas was created by Etienne Lenoir in 1860! Also, natural gas has become a prevalent fuel for the generation of electricity because of its clean-burning nature.
